Curriculum | Overview

We have high academic standards. All courses are based on the National Curriculum, but with a flexibility that puts the child’s needs first. Our teachers ensure their lessons are lively and involving which helps pupils enjoy learning.

Pupils are organised into three separate programmes:

Lower School: 11-14 years
A compulsory curriculum with a choice of modern language in Year 9. Pupils study English, Mathematics, Science, History, Geography, Drama, Music, Computing and two Modern Foreign Languages from Spanish, French and Italian.

Senior School: 14-16 years (GCSE)
Much of the curriculum is compulsory - English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and a Modern Language. Pupils can choose three other GCSEs from: History, Geography, Classical Civilisation, Computing, Drama, Media Studies, Sport Studies, Art, Business Studies and Music. Nine GCSE subjects are taken in total. Full details are in the GCSE Curriculum Booklet (see link below).

Sixth Form: 16- 18 years (A Level)
